34th Annual Harvey Stancer Research Day

Thursday, June 19th, 2008

The Department of Psychiatry’s 34th Annual Harvey Stancer Research Day will be held on Thursday June 19th, 2008 and will feature the theme Foundations of Research: an historical perspective.

This year’s Research Day will be launched with a Keynote Address by Harvey Stancer, MD, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus of Psychiatric Research.

Research Day is a major function of the Department of Psychiatry. It allows researchers to present a synopsis of their current research to one another, to the Toronto Psychiatric community, and to the public.  In particular, it provides the opportunity for junior members in our Department, including residents, fellows and students, to prepare and deliver an academic presentation. Research submissions, including studies using quantitative, qualitative, and case study designs and methodologies are welcome.

This year’s Harvey Stancer Research Day will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre   (255 Front Street West).

Registration and abstracts are to be entered online, starting from  Monday March 10th, 2008 and closing on Wednesday May 7th, 2008 no later than 5 p.m. EST.  Please note that all abstract submissions this year will be completed on-line at: Submit Abstract
